Drive Testing and Network Optimization
WirelessWerks provides drive testing and network optimization services using the very latest in testing technology.
Drive testing
WirelessWerks drive tests each individual sector on a unidirectional basis to ensure proper handover. Testing includes each sector to an adjacent neighbor to ensure the site properly hands off and testing is performed on a unidirectional basis. This testing is performed to accomplish many tasks
- Integration of a new site.
- When a TRX has been changed out.
- When a neighbor list has been modified.
- When an antenna sharing kit has been installed.
- Any time a site has been taken off the air, it should be call tested when it is brought back on air.
- During a network or single re-home.
- During a software patch or upgrade.
Testing includes the following call scenarios.
- E911 (Simulated or Live)
- 611
- 711
- 411
- SMS
- Mobile to Mobile
- Mobile to Land
- Land to Mobile
- Long Distance
- Data Call (HSPA, GPRS, EGPRS, CDPD...)
- Voice Mail
- 7 digit dialing
- 10 digit dialing
- IRAT, INTER-BSC, INTER-RNC, INTER-uMSC, etc.
Network Optimization
WirelessWerks also performs Network Optimization testing utilizing TEMS for more extensive testing of the network
- Track poorly defined neighbor relations
- Detect a wide range of radio network configuration errors
- Simulate and verify possible network changes
- Decode Layer 3 messages and display network data on map, line charts, or status monitors
- Identify coverage, quality and capacity measurements
- Perform system testing (verification of new and existing functions)
- Perform fault-tracing and troubleshooting
- Verify prediction
- Tuning
Continuous Wave Testing
WirelessWerks provides Continuous Wave Testing utilizing Grayson Wireless test equipment.
Grayson Wireless Transmitter and receiver can be used with the appropriate antenna, frequency and ERP to provide the following:
- Site candidate approval.
- Model tuning.
- used to choose the location of a new build.
E-911 Phase I, Phase II and Phase III Testing
The surveys will include:
- Surveying all BTS’s:
- Recording of differential GPs
- Verification of individual, sectors, height, azimuth and PN
- Phase II calibration of all BTS’s after accurate BSA file has been uploaded to MTX.
- Calibration is performed with an Audiovox Digital 1X GPS Handset. And a non GPS handset.
- Thousands of calls are made to a default trunk with both handsets.
- This testing will take place on all sectors and all sites.
- Calls are initiated and held up form 30 seconds to 1 minute per call.
